Only just got back from that there London and was looking forward to espousing my excitement about Fabian Delph but you beat me to it. What a quality tidy performance. From our position midway down the side so close to the pitch you could realy see his close control awareness and reading of the game. He was looking for passess two or three moves ahead. Not the toughest tackler but very quick to get into one. Havent been this excited about a young un for ages. Not since Kylie hit the charts with locomotion chugga chugga mix anyroad.
Showumni is really going to struggle if he lets our fans get to him. Some of them could not wait to get on his back. Hes a giant of a fella and looks a real athlete but he is going to have to improve his first touch and control if hes going to win them over.
Can only endorse the comments about Frazer and Robinson. The only negative for me was how many times they cut us open at the full back/CH position and got behind us. Only some scrambling defence by Rui and poor finishing protected the clean sheet.
Becchio is going to have stop going down so easy. Sure the Barnet defenders were giving him special treatment but that is going to be the norm. He didn’t look to have an eye for goal last Saturday but he did look a good team player.
Casper also provided a demonstration of why he is in this division. His kicking was better but he made a few really clumsy errors.
It was a Hot sunny day and I was looking forward to s few lurps in the red lion afterwards only to find it shut and protected by hordes of coppers. I ask you wtf is all that about. Of all the things going on in that London is it really such a priority to protect North London Suburbia in such a manner from 2000 impeccably behaved good natured relaxed Leeds fans. While I was down there I was stopping in Bethnal Green and Hackney and surprise surprise I dint see one of them anywhere.
